It works. They use it for coffee, I use it for flax seed. I bought it for grinding flax seed, I actually had the same model I gave to my son and his girlfriend when they went back to Oregon in his car last fall and searched for this one and was glad to find it because I had tried an electric nut chopper, a hand blender with tiny blades that did not work. This worked for the flax seed.
My old Braun grinder doesn't and it's always a pain. One great feature about it - it's got cord storage. It winds neatly into the base of the grinder. I bought this grinder for grinding grains for my baby's food ( technically according to the user manual you are not supposed to use it for that ,but oh well ) I didn't expect much from it and it doesn't offer much - it grinds. Over all it's OK. It did pretty well on grinding tough barley so I am happy. It's got that *cheap plastic thing made in China* feel about it. If it lasts as long as I'm making baby food It's $15 well spent.
I use it every day. It does a GREAT job. I am extremely happy with this grinder and the price was unbeatable. I don't drink coffee so I can't speak to how it would grind coffee beans. I bought it to grind flax seed and other fresh seeds and nuts.
The product works great for grinding flax seeds and coffee beans. Delivery was on time.
It's simple to use.you only press one button and it's easy to clean up. The cord can be stored in the bottom of the unit when not in use. I use this coffee grinder to grind flax seeds. Grinding only takes a matter of seconds. I can't tell you what this product is like with coffee but if you plan to use it for grinding flax seed it's perfect and I highly recommend it. It's perfect for my purpose. You can only grind a small quantity at a time but that works for me.
